Sept. 20th

More progress: Today we sent for 8 certificates for the notarized documents that we have to have for the dossier. After we get these, then just have the I171 left to certify and then can send the documents to the Chinese consulate.

On the home front - I repainted the spare bedroom, which will be Sarah's room. It is BRIGHT, and I mean BRIGHT pink. That is what she wanted. We ordered new furniture for Sarah and are having the floor sanded, stained and finished in the room. Steve will put in a new closet organizer and refinish the wood trim. We are getting bids to have new closet doors for all our closets. Of course, they are non-standard, so need to be special ordered or trimmed.

We are also having the living room and hall floors buffed and a new coat of poly applied. This is a pain in the butt because we had to empty out the room. Since it was empty, I was looking at it and saying "Hey, now would be a great time to paint it". So, I created another project. We are going to repaint the room. It's like dominoes, you start one project and others follow. I am stressing out because my house is totally a disaster with furniture from the living room stashed wherever we could fit it. Oh well, this will pass.
