Sept. 29th Update
More progress - Well, today I am mailing 12 documents to the Chinese consulate for authentication. I had to get state certifications for all of these. Once they are authenticated, I will make copies and send with other items needed for the dossier to Holt. They will review to make sure it looks ok. There is one more document for the dossier that we are waiting for, the I171. We were fingerprinted on Monday at the USCIS (former INS) and now wait for this form. Could be 2-6 weeks.
I ordered a bunch of pictures from Sam's club for Xiao's photo album and we are working on a letter for her. A friend from work is going to translate these for us !!
On the house front, the wood floors are done. We hope to put in the closet organizer into Sarah's new room this weekend and also put in new bifold doors. We are going to try to do this ourselves, we'll see. The doors need to be trimmed, so we have to bring out the circular saw ! Sarah gets her new furniture (minus the desk, which is on order) on Tuesday, then move in starts for her.
My Dad and I painted the living room on Sunday (looks great!) and the floor there was buffed and has a new coat of poly. Now we need to put the furniture back in and maybe I can get my house back in shape.

Isn't it funny how your nesting instinct goes into overdrive? I am so happy for your whole family. Adoptiong a child is such a blessing and I am thrilled you included us in your journey. No matter how long it takes, it will feel like forever and the blink of an eye at the sme time. When you meet her and hold her in your arms the first time, you won't even remember the paperwork, the waiting or the angst. I'm getting goosebumps remembering meeitng my guys and I know the experience will be wonderful for all of you.
Much love and all our best,
The Karolzaks
Joanne,, Adam and soon to be official James
