10/26 Update
I sent all the documents for the dossier except the I171H to Holt on 10/19. They will review in a few weeks.
We are still waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the I171H from our own government, the USCIS. This department is really slow, it is really dragging. We applied for the form via an I600A at the beginning of August. We waited about a month to get a receipt. Then we waited a few more weeks to get the fingerprinting appointment, which was a few more weeks out. We were fingerprinted on 9/26 and here we sit. They are now holding up our whole adoption. We have everything else done but getting this form (which we will have to get notarized and authenticated, so more time). ARRRGHHH! This is frustrating.
Please pray we get this form soon, we need your prayers.
In the meantime, Xiao doesn't know about us and we can't contact her until our dossier is in China.
On the house front, I am now working on organizing Xiao's room. Sarah has moved into her new room and we have most of the stuff she wants out, but she left alot behind. I am painting a chest of drawers to match the furniture and hope to get an unfinished nightstand to paint as well.
Once done with that, I need to dig into the basement. I have been taking stuff down there just to get it out of the other rooms. Need to get rid of stuff and organize. Our house is only so big !!

Hang in there. I just found out my plain old American adoption will be delayed another few months due to paperwork as well. Take heart, the process may be slow but the benefits will be enormous.
