Update 11-14
Well, once again a few months have flown by and I haven't posted, so here's an update. Katherine had her 6th birthday on Nov. 1st (Nov. is National Adoption month, by the way). We had a nice family party and also a small kids party at McDonald's with two of the other girls from her preschool who also have Nov. birthdays.
She is doing very well in school. Still have issues with her and Sarah getting along. We just have to keep working with both of them to adjust. Sarah gets very frustrated with her and is beginning to lose patience. She tattles on her all the time and I have to say to her to watch her tone because it is grating on me. Katherine still is very independent and bossy with Sarah. For example, Sarah went into Katherine's room the other day while Katherine was cleaning and changed the radio station to Radio Disney because she thought Katherine would like the music and Katherine yelled at her to stop and get out!
We went to the Dell's over the Catholic school teacher convention weekend and had a blast. We stayed at the Great Wolf. They had lots of Halloween activities for the family (trick or treating, pumpkin decorating, etc.). We of course swam alot and did a lot of water slides. Katherine was fearless and wanted to go on all the slides, but she was too smal for some of them. Sarah and I loved the Tornado. You go up about 5 stories and the get on a 2 person raft and drop almost straight down for about 3 stories and then swish back and forth to the bottom. It was a blast! The girls got to sleep in bunk beds and they actually got along very well the whole weekend, so there is hope !!
Now it is time to get ready for Thanksgiving, Sarah's birthday, my Dad's birthday and Christmas. These two months always fly by.
God Bless,
Marie
