Nov 17 - We finally got the I171H!!
After 88 days since filing, we finally got the I171H yesterday. I think if any of our neighbors saw me jumping up and down in the driveway, they might have thought I was nuts !!
I immediately took a copy of the form to the bank, got it notarized and sent off overnight to the state for certification.
Once I have the state certification, I send it to the Chinese Consulate in Chicago for Authentication. Our agency, Holt, send dossiers on Fridays. However, next week they send on Wed. due to the holiday. I don't think there is any way we will get it to them by now, so I guess our dossier won't be in China until Dec. I had initially (very optimistically, I guess) hoped to have it there by the end of October, but the Milwaukee USCIS held us up with this form.
We are moving closer !!
